Embark on an exhilarating journey from Coca to the Napo Wildlife Center. Following a flight and a brief transfer, guests are warmly welcomed at a private dock with refreshments and a boxed lunch. A two-hour motorboat ride along the Napo River is followed by a serene canoe trip through a creek to the lodge on a lake. Along the way, spot monkeys and birds. Upon arrival, take in the breathtaking scenery of Lake Añangu, receive a welcome drink, and get briefed on hotel services before settling into comfortable jungle-view rooms.

Begins with an early visit to the parrot clay licks, about an hour and a half away from the lodge. Guests arrive just before the morning parrot activity, where they can observe five species, including parrots, parakeets, and macaws. Following this, a trail leads to the Kichwa Interpretation Center “Kuri Muyu,” managed by local women, providing insights into Kichwa culture and opportunities to purchase local handicrafts. The excursion then proceeds to the second parrot and parakeet clay lick through the Terra Firme Forest, offering glimpses of various bird and mammal species depending on weather conditions. After lunch, guests return to the lodge via the main stream, providing more chances for wildlife observation. The day concludes with dinner at the lodge.

Following a delightful breakfast, lodge guests embark on an exhilarating sunrise hike to the observation tower in the Napo River area. Rising 36 meters high and just 30 minutes from the lodge, this tower offers a unique view of the forest from the canopy of a Ceibo tree, allowing observation of various species such as tanagers, macaws, toucans, and monkeys. This experience provides a privileged perspective of wildlife.

After lunch, a hike through a terra firme forest awaits, offering the chance to encounter diverse fauna, including the elusive golden-mantled tamarin monkeys. Later, guests explore the lake and streams by canoe, hoping to catch sight of giant otters. The lodge boasts a second observation tower above the restaurant, offering a stunning view of the lagoon and its surroundings.

The day concludes with dinner followed by a night walk, providing opportunities to observe insects, reptiles, amphibians, and even nocturnal monkeys with the assistance of flashlights.

This morning, we’ll venture into trails winding through terra firme and swamp forests, seeking out wildlife like golden-mantled tamarins, capuchin monkeys, sloths, and more. Following the hike, we’ll return to the eco-lodge for a delightful lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, we’ll glide through streams in rowing canoes, offering more opportunities to spot unique wildlife. Today, we venture to Pañacocha Lake, situated across the Napo River, promising a day replete with nature exploration and wildlife encounters, with the thrilling possibility of spotting pink dolphins. Setting off from the lodge in the morning, we navigate a scenic creek for approximately 90 minutes, admiring diverse wildlife along the way.

Upon arrival, guests receive an orientation about the area and a box lunch to enjoy either in a canoe or at a nearby lodge. Conditions permitting, there’s an opportunity to swim in the lake. The Pañacocha region offers sightings of various species, including macaws, sloths, squirrel monkeys, black-mantled titi monkeys, capuchin monkeys, and anacondas, among others. The return to Napo Wildlife Center is scheduled for the afternoon.
